This specialty class is centered around high intensity functional training. The movements used are not complex and weight is used in every class. The sessions are programmed to increase primarily aerobic and muscular endurance while building strength. Exercises include box jumps, rope lean-backs, plank hops, Olympic-style lifts, and rowing, just to name a few. This program will increase your aerobic and anaerobic endurance levels. Ideal for those looking for a little extra in their workout routine.
Spinning. This class is on a stationary bike where you set your own level of intensity. It is designed to increase your aerobic capacity. The body has the most consistent usage of energy, so set a pace and stay with it! One of the many great things about the Spinning program is that it appeals to individuals of all ages and fitness levels. Because every participant can control the resistance on their own Spinner bike, each individual gets a customized workout that’s right for them.
Zumba. We take the “work” out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Cardio Sculpt is a 60-Minute class focused on sculpting and strengthening all muscle groups. Cardio and strength intervals choreographed to upbeat music! Cardio intervals will include basic Step, kick-boxing and dance. Strength intervals will include weight training, body weight exercises and Pilates.
Ripped is a high intensity workout that’s fun, simple to learn, and effective. This workout is structured around a high energy group exercise environment and it combines easy, yet extremely effective cardiovascular routines with weights and resistance. An hour-long R.I.P.P.E.D. class can help an individual burn over 700 calories. Come experience the fun!
Butts & Guts. The focus of this class is on your core and legs. The instructor will incorporate the step, bikes and weights to build muscle and strength in those areas.
Yoga/Pilates Fusion is an engaging workout for all fitness levels, including modifications for beginners (including chair options if needed) through advanced challenge options. Work on a mix of isometric holds, range of motion, flexibility, balance, body awareness and breath work with a mix of yoga and pilates styles.
TJ Juko-Kai Cardio Martial Arts (Self Defense) is a high energy fast paced class, developed to incorporate boxing and kickboxing, in a self-defense cardio atmosphere. Class attendees will be instructed in kicks, punches and blocks in a non-contact environment. Individuals will be taught to strike focus mitts and kick bags, as well as increase eye hand coordination with speed bags. Wraps and gloves are recommended but not required. Students will learn at an individual pace.
Body Blast is a sports inspired cardio class that brings out the inner athlete! Each class will have a specific training principle incorporating TABATA, HIIT, AMRAPs, and weight lifting! Dynamic Strength & Conditioning Circuit is a circuit training class focused on improving strength, durability, speed and overall athletic performance. This class will utilize barbells, pull-up bars, free weights, sleds, battle ropes, medicine balls and calisthenics.
