The Carr Fire, now the sixth most destructive wildfire in California State history has impacted our local community, our business, or families & our spirits in a way that most of us couldn't imagine until it happened. As of todays date 08/01/2018 the Carr Fire has destroyed 1,015 homes. The combined total of buildings destroyed stands at 1,465 & with 35% containment these numbers are likely to rise. The National Interagency Fire Center is calling the Carr Fire the second most expensive fire in California State history as well. 

Missing Persons

As of todays date 08/01/2018 the following person is still missing:

Justin Jones – Redding

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the Shasta County Sheriff at 530.245.6025

One-Stop Assistance Center

A local assistance center will be opening on August 2nd through August 8th at Shasta High School, 2500 Eureka Way in Redding daily from 9AM - 7PM

Representatives from from various local, state and federal agencies will be there to provide a one-stop shop for recovery assistance, providing a centralized location for services and resource referrals for unmet needs following the disaster.

If you are able, it is recommended that you bring a photo ID, household income information and insurance documents to the Assistance Center.

The state Department of Motor Vehicles will also be available to issue duplicates of photo IDs and driver's licenses.
